In a tender issued by the French government, Dalkia has been selected to build three biomass-fired combined heat and power (CHP) plants, with a total generation capacity of 122 megawatts, or 40% of the combined 300 MW output of the different projects awarded under the tender. The new facilities will burn 830,000 tonnes of biomass per year.

PARIS, 19 June 2008 - The Asian Development Bank (ADB) and Paris-based Dalkia Group have entered a multi-project loan agreement to finance a series of district heating, district cooling, and cogeneration projects in the People's Republic of China (PRC) to improve energy efficiency and reduce air pollution.
